Production Line Automation


Project Overview:
In this solution, the internal grinding machines and honing machines are arranged in a linear layout. The workpiece center of the internal grinding machine is on the same vertical plane as the loading/unloading station and inspection station of the honing machine. The two machine tools share one gantry manipulator for automatic loading and unloading.
The base of the gantry manipulator is equipped with a dual-slide feeding mechanism. During operation, workers only need to place the pallet filled with workpieces on the slide table. After pressing the confirmation button, the system transports the pallet to the working area of the manipulator. The manipulator sequentially places workpieces into the internal grinding machine and honing machine according to the processing requirements. Finally, the finished workpieces are placed back onto the pallet and conveyed outward by the slide table.
In short, workers only need to input one pallet of raw workpieces, and processed finished workpieces are output automatically.
This solution adopts a set of three-axis gantry manipulators to grasp and transport workpieces, while the mechanical arm completes the loading and unloading of machine tools. The workpiece orientation station is integrated into the manipulator, which eliminates the time consumed for loading and unloading from the orientation device and improves the production cycle.


Solution Description:
The robot gripper adopts servo control to automatically adjust the gripping position according to the blank size. The robot independently determines the clamping position of the machine tool based on the workpiece dimension. It can automatically select corresponding processing data for automated machining and choose measurement procedures for detection. The system automatically records measurement data and identifies out-of-tolerance items of parts. The entire production process supports digital twin simulation and allows simultaneous processing of different products on the production line.


This automatic line is an automated flexible production line for tensile test bars and titanium nails. It mainly consists of double-station loading and unloading line, quick-change platform for robot grippers, three CNC lathes, air blowing cleaning mechanism, flash measuring instrument, roughness tester, laser marking machine, temporary storage station, robot ground rail, sampling material channel and six-axis industrial robot.
The production line supports independent production of tensile test bars as well as mixed production of tensile test bars and titanium nails. Equipped with 3D vision inspection and code scanning cameras, it can identify QR code information of blanks and interact with lathes to realize automatic switching of machining programs.



Production Line Description:
This production line is designed for machining the positioning surfaces of Audi cylinder block castings before delivery. The processing equipment includes one opposed milling machine and three vertical milling machines manufactured by Changchun Meige.
